My fellow Windsor residents,
I am writing to endorse Jason Hallett for Mayor of the Town of Windsor.
As a former Mayor who served the community for eight years, I can tell you with a degree of certainty what it takes to do the job. Being Mayor requires an ability to understand the wishes of the community and incorporate the vision into a strategic plan. When I entered office, there was no strategic plan, but there was a Vision 2025 plan developed by hundreds of residents over thousands of hours detailing what they wanted it to look like as the Town grew. This vision set the course for the community over the last decade and a half, and by the desire to live in this community, something must have been done right. Jason Hallett understands that and is committed to smart and responsible growth.
The position of Mayor is supposed to be a non-partisan seat as the Mayor represents all residents and not just the like minded ones. The Mayor should not identify as some registered affiliate of a party when the job requires serving the entire population of Windsor. Windsor is a unique Town as it is one Town in two counties with three school districts; there is not a one size fits all approach to serving all the needs of all the residents. The Mayor has to be able to work with multiple Boards of County Commissioners and a variety of State and regional leaders to address regional issues, such as transportation. Jason Hallett has the skills to lead meaningful conversations leading to meaningful solutions both locally and regionally.
The Town of Windsor has more than doubled in size since I took office and it is worth noting the decisions made by the Town Board have broad and sweeping impacts on a variety of community members. The Mayor represents a constituency that can’t vote as they are under the age of 18, and the needs for this portion of our community need to be considered when drafting policy. The Mayor needs to understand the value of smart growth for special tax districts like the school districts, fire district, library district, and Town services. Jason Hallett understands that quality schools, emergency services, and Town services make for a desirable community; just ask the 15,000 folks that have moved to Windsor over the last decade. I encourage my fellow Windsorites to vote April 2, 2024 for Jason Hallett for Mayor.
With Love of Windsor,

Windsor Mayor 2008-2016
Because I couldn’t help myself…
Grow up Barry! This is not a high school race this is a race to see who has the leadership skills to run a town and being a mayor means there are going to be more days than not that people will disagree with you, say even worse things about you or family members and critique like no other. It’s part of the job! More importantly it’s everyone’s right to express how they feel! Whether they like you or not!
This isn’t being mean because we aren’t in elementary or high school. We are adults and in this role one will be doing an adult job and sometimes in the real world, real things need to be said to get things done. That is how respect comes. Respect doesn’t come from holding an office or position it is earned by what one does.
That is why my vote is going to Jason Hallett. He earned my respect by serving our country, almost giving his life and overcomes every single day just to be up and around. He if anyone should crying the poor me game, but he doesn’t! He gets up, gets going and gets things done and doesn’t sit around and wallow in a pity party or trying to get others to come along and sympathize with him!
For a refreshing take from someone who has demonstrated they have what it takes to take the the real work on –
Vote Jason Hallett!

Windsor Mayor 2016-2020
Hello Fellow Windsorites and Friends!
It’s once again time to vote for the next mayor of Windsor. This year the ballot features only one question: Who will be Windsor’s Mayor for the next 4 years.
We have a simple choice this cycle. We have decorated Purple Heart resident Jason Hallett who is raising his twins in Windsor, currently serving as your town board representative and has a proven track record of service and sacrifice.
Jason needs no accolades. His daily routine before we all have breakfast is probably a more Herculean effort than the rest of us do in a week. Not only is he a compassionate and great listener, he truly is offering his service as a non-selfish community member to keep Windsor the Windsor we love and call home.
Having attended Windsor High, he knows the schools. Being a proud veteran, he knows the trials of the first responders in our community and will never compromise our safety for political passiveness.
We have witnessed many great Mayors in our town over the last 6 decades of residing here and in helping build Windsor to be the greatest community in all of NOCO.
It’s the leadership of the past that defines our future and the last 3 mayors of our great community ALL support Jason Hallett. They KNOW him. They know he will DO right for us all.
If you have any questions, go meet Jason. He’s so approachable and compassionate and you will come away changed forever and more grateful than ever to be living in Windsor.
Please join us in voting for Jason Hallett Mayor for Windsor.

Hello to all my fellow Windsor residents!
I am writing you today to endorse Jason Hallett for mayor of Windsor.
As the current mayor I can be certain about what it takes to lead Windsor. As mayor you need the ability to understand the wishes of the community and balance that with the needs of the community, ultimately integrating it into the towns strategic plan. This is what I’m proud of that we have done together for the past eight years. Jason Hallett understands this and is committed to doing whatever it takes for smart strategic and responsible growth.
Being mayor is a non-partisan position, the mayor represents all Windsor residents. As we all know Windsor is a unique town, in two different counties, with three separate school districts; A one size fits all approach will not meet the needs of Windsor residents. The mayor needs to be able to work with state and regional leaders, two unique Boards of County Commissioners to address issues faced regionally, such as Water and Safety. Jason Hallett has the skills to lead meaningful conversations and solutions for the people of Windsor.
The town of Windsor has grown tremendously over my time as the mayor and the decisions the town board can make can have sweeping impacts on its residents which account for all current residents as well as the future residents of our community.
The mayor must also lead in understanding the value placed in our special taxing districts such as with our school districts, Windsor Severance Fire and with the Clearview Library. Jason Hallett understands that quality schools, public safety and our robust essential town services make Windsor such a desirable community.
I encourage the people of Windsor to vote on or before April 2 for Jason Hallett to be Windsor’s next mayor!
Kind regards,
Paul Rennemeyer
Windsor Mayor 2020-2024
To my fellow Windsor residents,
I would like to strongly encourage you to vote for Jason Hallett for Mayor of Windsor on April 2nd. Jason’s military record and heroism are proof that he is a true leader. Windsor needs someone who will ask the tough questions and not just accept whatever is handed to him by staff, we are blessed with a great staff but that doesn’t make them infallible. Windsor needs a Mayor who is a leader, not just a dispenser of town information. Jason is that leader!
Many of his opponent’s supporters have tried to falsely sway voters by implying that Jason is “in the pocket” of local developers – I faced similar accusations when I ran against Barry 6 years ago simply because one developer allowed me to place signs on his land.
Let’s be clear on how development gets approved in Windsor – it must go through the 7 person Planning Commission and the 7 person Town Board. The Mayor has no more power than any other Town Board Member in voting on development.
I challenged Barry’s eligibility to run for a 3rd consecutive term because the Town Charter states you can only run in 2 consecutive elections. The Town Clerk said my challenge wasn’t valid because I missed the 3 day deadline and when I inquired as to when the 3 day clock started and how any member of the public would be aware of it, I received no response. His eligibility to even run in this election is based off the Clerk’s interpretation that the 10 year limit mentioned in the Charter to address persons appointed to fill a partial term makes him eligible to run for a 3rd consecutive election.
Since Barry felt he was too special to be subject to the Town Charter’s term limit, the Town had to spend tens of thousands of dollars to hold this election. It also seems that Barry doesn’t care about conflicts of interest as he has remained on the Town Board, now running for Mayor, despite accepting a job where 1/3 of his salary is paid for by the Town of Windsor – by a budget he helps set!
As someone who has spent the last 15+ years serving Windsor volunteering in the schools in countless roles and serving on 3 different Town of Windsor Boards, I have learned to recognize those who are selflessly volunteering to make Windsor a better place and those who aren’t.
Jason Hallett is a humble man dedicated to keeping Windsor the wonderful place to live that it is. He is a dedicated servant to those around him, his military sacrifice more than earned him a pass on future service but instead of sitting on the sidelines, Jason gives selflessly of his time to serve Windsor. His servant leadership is exactly what Windsor needs in a Mayor!
Please vote Jason Hallett for Mayor by April 2nd!
Sincerely,
Cindy Beemer
Dear Windsor,
We have a stark contrast in mayoral candidates this April 2.
While both candidates are sitting town board members, one candidate, Barry Willson, is determined to slander the current town board and staff by the past direction our town has grown. He’s consistently accusing his opponent, Jason Hallett, of cronyism. He’s accusing local developers of the same, and his campaign is focused on raising the cost of housing in Windsor by raising fees.
Judge for yourself. Windsor’s success in governance and development includes the best home price appreciation, safest city in Colorado and awarded one of the best master-planned developments in the nation. Yet Barry has nothing but negative criticism. Barry, one must ponder why all the accusations.
Let’s look at what Barry doesn’t want you to see.
Barry is employed by the non-profit Poudre River Trail Corridor, Inc as its executive director. Guess who funds the Poudre River Trail? Yep, your town of Windsor is 33% of that enterprise. Guess who voted to fund the Poudre River Trail money from your town budget. Yep! Good ole Barry Wilson. Unethical behavior in failure to recuse himself from the budget conversation of our tax dollars to fund HIS salary!
What else? Well, the town charter is clear: You can’t work for the town and run for office but good ole Barry doesn’t need to follow the town rules if he can divert your attention to attacking all the others.
What else?
Hmm…the town charter is crystal clear: NO candidate can run for more than TWO (2) consecutive elections. YEP! This is Barry’s THIRD!
How did he get away with this? Well, Barry filed his petition on a Friday night, the very last day possible. No one noticed until Monday. A formal objection was posted by a Windsor resident Tuesday morning, and he used “they miss the three-day protest period” as his excuse to stay on the ballot. Make no mistake, Barry is scary when it comes to manipulating the rules.
So, what do we get with Barry as mayor of Windsor? Likely a higher salary for the Poudre River Trail Corridor, Inc manager. That’s a given since he’s proven he has no problem paying himself with our money. Also, higher fees for homebuyers that he’s promoting on his web site.
Clearly his ethical barometer is broken and expects more town charter codes to become “suggestions” for stupid people.
Had Barry honored the town code, he would have withdrawn for cause when the citizen caught him on his mayor application. That alone would have eliminated the need for this election since all candidates are running unopposed except Barry’s mayoral quest.
Bottom line: Barry doesn’t care! He thinks cheating is FAIR.
The other candidate is Jason Hallett, a Purple Heart Marine serving on town board running a positive pro-Windsor campaign ignoring Barry’s accusations and innuendo while raising his twin children in our community.
The choice is quite clear!
Please vote for Jason Hallett and show how ethical honorable behavior is rewarded and appreciated.
